I have gambled on millions of rounds of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling halls when I was sixteen. I have bet on online vingt-et-un, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short time. With all that said I have still spent a lot of money at vingt-et-un. The gambling dens have made it almost impossible to defeat the house.
I still like the game and play on a regular basis. Over the years I have played a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get rich with this method or defeat the house, still you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is based on the idea that blackjack seems to be a match of runs. When you are hot your on fire, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I gamble with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I lose I wager the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I do not win again I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand again etc. Whenever I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep wagering this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I don’t win I return the wager back down to the original sum.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable at times. If you succeed at a few hands in series your bets go up very quick. Before you realize it you are gambling $100-200per hand. I have had awesome streaks a couple of times now. I departed a $5 table at the Paris a few years ago with $750 after 30 mins using this technique! And a couple of days ago in Macau I left a game with $1200!
You have to understand that you can give up a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be amazed at the runs you witness wagering this way. Here is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar table.
Wager 5 dollar
Take 5 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet
Bet 5 dollar
Leave $5 paid to you for a total wager of ten dollar
Bet ten dollar
Take ten dollar paid to you, leave the first 10 dollar wager
Bet 10 dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Wager $20
Take $20 paid-out to you, leave the first 20 dollar wager
Wager 20 dollar
Leave twenty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 40 dollar
Bet forty dollar
Take 40 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $40 bet
Wager 40 dollar
Leave $40 paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the initial $80 wager
Bet 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take $160 paid-out to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager
If you left at this point you would be up 3 hundred and 15 dollars !!
It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and lower your bet or the end result will not be the same.
