If you find the only way you can enjoy the roller coaster ride is with a bigger bet, then hop aboard for the rollercoaster ride of your life on the monster coaster. The high rolling gambler will love the view from the monster roller coaster because he or she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush hastily to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in black jack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that’s a lovely feeling, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better escape in a hurry.
