The high rolling gambler will love the view from the monster roller coaster because he or she is not mentally processing the drop as they rush head first to the top of the game.
A win goal and a loss limit works well in blackjack, but very few players adhere to it. In blackjack, if you "get on the rollercoaster" as it is going up, that is a lovely feeling, but when the cards "go south" and the coaster starts to flip and turn, you had better get out in a hurry.
